Cookie Policy
Cyber Horizon Intelligence Ltd
Effective Date: 9 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Cyber Horizon Intelligence Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our website and platform. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, improve performance, and, where used, provide analytics. We also use similar technologies such as your browser's local storage.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Essential for the operation of our platform. They include authentication and session management, security and fraud prevention, and load balancing. These cookies do not require consent.
Statistics Cookies
We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our website. By default it runs in a privacy-preserving, cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device; it sets the analytics cookies listed below only if you allow the “Statistics” category in our consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. IP addresses are anonymised.
Preferences and Marketing Cookies
Our consent banner also offers Preferences and Marketing categories. At present we set none of these. If we introduce any in future, they will be placed only after you allow the relevant category, and we will update this policy.
3. What We Store
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Clerk | Authentication session token | Strictly necessary | Session |
| __client_uat | Clerk | Signals authentication state | Strictly necessary | ~1 year |
| chi_cookie_consent | Cyber Horizon | Remembers your cookie consent choice | Strictly necessary | Local storage |
| chi_anon_id | Cyber Horizon | Anonymous identifier used to record your consent | Strictly necessary | Local storage |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors (set only with Statistics consent) | Statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Persists session state for analytics (set only with Statistics consent) | Statistics | 2 years |
The two chi_ items are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies. When you make a choice in our consent banner, we also keep a record of it — your choice, a timestamp, and a hashed (non-identifying) form of your IP address — so we can demonstrate that consent was given. The Google Analytics _ga cookies are set only if you allow the Statistics category. We do not set advertising cookies.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to operate and secure the platform and to remember your consent choice. We do not use cookies to sell personal data.
5. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer, which reopens the consent banner. You can also control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
6. Third-Party Cookies
We use Google Analytics (provided by Google) for website statistics; it is loaded only after you consent to the Statistics category, and its use is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Any further third-party services that set cookies will likewise load only after you consent to the relevant category.
